Accounts, members & billing
Create a workspace, assign access, and understand how plan changes affect cloud features and local safety.

Create your workspace
Signup creates a user and workspace, seeds a daily budget, and starts onboarding. Clerk is used when configured; missing Clerk keys select clearly marked local authentication for development. CLI login uses a browser-approved device code, not a password copied into the terminal.

Owners and admins manage members and invitations in Settings. Invites are accepted by the intended authenticated account. Roles determine administrative access; member and device limits are enforced on the server when billing is configured.
Use separately revocable API tokens for automation. Keep the workspace owner and server service credentials out of customer scripts. Device and virtual-key credentials have narrower, distinct uses.
| Role | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Owner | Workspace administration and destructive workspace controls |
| Admin | Manage operational settings, devices and membership within role rules |
| Member | Use the workspace with non-administrative access |
Understand your plan
There is no permanent Free plan. The trial requires a card through the configured merchant-of-record checkout. Paid billing begins when the trial ends unless cancelled. Settings → Billing shows your current status and opens the configured billing portal for subscription management.
With billing unconfigured, local development features remain unlocked. That development mode is not a paid cloud entitlement.
