Terms of service
Draft pending counsel review · Updated October 8, 2026
Agreement and accounts
These terms govern your use of Leash supplied by Leash. By using the service you agree to them. You must be an adult with authority to act for your workspace. Keep account information accurate, safeguard credentials and notify hello@useleash.dev of suspected unauthorized access. Workspace owners administer membership and are responsible for permissions they grant.
What Leash controls
Leash estimates API spend, checks configured budgets before forwarding compatible requests, detects specified loop patterns and supports pause/resume controls. It controls traffic routed through the running proxy. It cannot control agents that bypass the proxy, subscription-credit accounting, provider-side billing after cancellation, or charges outside supported API operations. You remain responsible for provider accounts, keys and spend limits. Maintain provider-side safeguards and supervise consequential agent actions.
Token prices, usage extraction and savings figures are estimates, not invoices, financial advice or reimbursement promises. Provider contracts, cache pricing, non-token charges, retries and delayed accounting can differ. A successful cancellation does not reverse provider work already billed. Availability, latency and detection accuracy are not guaranteed unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Trial and subscriptions
There is no permanent Free plan. The trial lasts 3 days and requires a payment card collected by Polar. Trial access is limited to one user, one device, spend caps, the kill switch and three days of history. It excludes team access and external alert channels. At the end of the trial, the selected subscription begins and the card is charged automatically unless canceled before the trial ends.
Starter is $11 per month for one user and up to three devices, with 30 days of history and email alerts. Pro is $22 per month for up to five members and ten devices, with one year of history, Slack and Discord alerts, and invoice reconciliation reports. Enterprise pricing, SSO/SAML, unlimited allowances and service terms require an agreed contract and configuration. Checkout shows applicable taxes and the final payable amount.
An expired trial or lapsed subscription restricts cloud features to read-only access. Existing local spend caps and the local kill switch remain effective; billing failure never permits an otherwise blocked provider request. Development installations with billing disabled remain locally unlocked. We may change plans prospectively with notice, subject to applicable law.
Purchases, renewal and cancellation
When paid checkout is enabled, subscriptions are purchased through Polar, acting as merchant of record and authorized reseller for that purchase. The price, currency, taxes, interval and renewal conditions shown at checkout govern your purchase. Payment information goes to Polar. Subscriptions renew on the checkout schedule until canceled. Use Manage subscription in workspace Settings or the Polar customer portal linked in your receipt to manage billing or cancel; contact us if you cannot access it. Cancellation ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current billing period under the applicable checkout terms. A verified subscription event updates your Leash plan.
Refunds, statutory withdrawal rights and payment disputes are handled under the applicable Polar Buyer Terms and mandatory consumer law. Workspace archival alone does not cancel a subscription; cancel through Polar first. Local accounting records may remain after cancellation, and local safety controls continue. Sandbox checkout is for testing and does not constitute a production purchase.
Acceptable use and your data
Do not abuse the service, bypass access controls, impersonate another user, introduce malware, infringe rights or use the proxy for unlawful activity. Use only provider credentials you are authorized to use. You retain rights in your data and authorize the limited processing needed to provide Leash. Public report sharing is optional and can be revoked. Leash does not persist conversation prompts or responses; your agents and providers may do so independently. The Privacy notice explains account and metadata processing.
Software and service rights
Your use of distributed software is also subject to the license included with that distribution. Leash is proprietary software. No license to publish, redistribute or open-source its code is granted by these terms; third-party components retain their own licenses. The Leash name, logo, hosted application and other materials remain protected by their respective owners. You may use the Protected by Leash badge for an accurately described integration; it is not a certification.
Suspension, termination and availability
We may restrict hosted access for abuse, compromised accounts, legal requirements or a material breach, with notice when practical. You may stop local use at any time, revoke integrations, export available records and request account deletion. Hosted services and third-party providers may be interrupted for maintenance or outages. Keep backups and use the documented restore/bypass procedures. Subscription cancellation, deletion and archival are separate actions.
Responsibility and disputes
To the extent permitted by law, Leash is supplied as available without implied warranties, and we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or agent/provider charges resulting from your configuration or use. Our aggregate liability for service claims is limited to the fees you paid for Leash in the preceding twelve months. These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable mandatory consumer protections. No term prevents you from exercising statutory rights.
The operator is based in Israel. Subject to mandatory local consumer protections and any separately agreed contract, Israeli law governs these service terms and disputes are submitted to competent courts in Israel. Polar purchase disputes follow its applicable buyer agreement. Contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. We will communicate material changes to these terms before they apply where required.
